This page explains what personal data the site collects, why, who else processes it and what your rights are. The short version comes first.

- No analytics, ad trackers or cookies on this site.
- If you buy a spot, I use your details to deliver your sponsorship and to invoice you.
- Your company name, logo and website are shown publicly. Contact and billing details stay private.
- I never sell your data.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Just email me.

What I collect and why
Visiting this site
- What
- Your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in the hosting provider's server logs.
- Why
- To deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long
- Briefly. The host deletes its logs automatically.
Buying a spot
- What
- Your name, email, billing address, VAT number (optional) and payment details. Stripe handles your card: I never see the full number.
- Why
- To take your payment, send your receipt and invoice, and keep accounting records.
- Legal basis
- Performing our contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and my legal obligations for invoicing and accounting (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- How long
- Invoices and accounting records for 8 years, as Hungarian accounting law requires.
Onboarding
- What
- The company name, website, logo, social profile, description, contact name, contact email and optional note you send me after paying.
- Why
- To print your sticker, show your logo on this site, write your sponsor introduction and contact you about your sponsorship.
- Legal basis
- Performing our contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- How long
- While the campaign and your sponsorship run. After that, only what I need for accounting or legal claims. Published posts can stay online.
Emailing me
- What
- Your email address and whatever you write.
- Why
- To reply to you.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)), or steps before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- How long
- As long as our conversation needs it.
What's shown publicly
If you sponsor a spot, your company name, logo and website are shown on this site's board and sponsor wall once I've approved them. Your description, social profile and note are used in your public sponsor introduction and the campaign content.
Your contact details, billing details and payment information are never published.
Who else gets your data
These services and people process data on my behalf, bound by data processing terms or professional duties:
- Vercel Inc. (USA): Website hosting and server logs (privacy policy)
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland): Payments, receipts and fraud prevention (privacy policy)
- KBOSS.hu Kft., Számlázz.hu (Hungary): Invoicing (privacy policy)
- My email provider: Sending and receiving email
- My accountant: Bookkeeping and tax filing
Stripe also processes payment data as an independent controller, for example to prevent fraud and meet financial regulations. Invoice data is reported to the Hungarian tax authority (NAV), as the law requires.
I don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers are based in the USA. Where your data leaves the European Economic Area, it's protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask me to:
- show you the data I hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it, unless the law requires me to keep it (invoices, for example);
- restrict how I use it;
- send it to you or another company in a machine-readable format;
- stop using it where I rely on legitimate interest.
Email sponsor@the10kmacbook.com and I'll reply within one month. If you think I've handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Hungarian data protection authority (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság, naih.hu) or to the authority where you live or work, or go to court.
Anything else
Billing details are needed to buy a spot, and the law requires them on invoices. Onboarding details are needed to deliver your sponsorship. Browsing the site needs nothing from you.
I don't make automated decisions about you or build profiles.
